Urban Connection represents the new, fresh sound of urban jazz in Norway. Based in bop-tradition of the sixties, they perform their music with such a musical playfulness it's accessible to all ages. The boys played together for the first time in 1996 in connection with a concert at the jazz department at the music conservatory in Trondheim, where they all were students. From then on they were "Urban Connection". Urban Connection gives life to music through their passion and cleverness, an exclusive combination that has given the band a lot of international attention.

Urban Connection was in 1999 awarded the title of "Young Jazz Musicians of the year" in competition with 40 other Norwegian bands. This was the beginning of a career which has brought the band to the largest jazz festivals in Europe, Montreux Int. Jazz festival, North Sea Int. Jazz festival in Haag, The Istanbul Int. Jazzfestival, Pori Int. Jazz festival in Finland and many more
